If you came to this site, it’s probably because you are looking for a recipe or something else food-related. I mean FOOD is right there in the name! BUT I did warn you in the About page that just because life revolves around food doesn’t mean food is all there is.
And this summer, my life has not been revolving around food. It has been revolving around the Bar Exam (which is over now-thank God!) and THIS little angel/devil of a puppy that the Taste Tester and I adopted back in May.
Although we already have one dog, Lilly, this is my first time with a little baby dog. And I have to tell you, adopting a puppy is A LOT different than adopting a grown-up dog. I will tell you more about that later. That’s why I started this little sub-section of the blog known as DoggioCentric, where I will tell you about all things puppy/dog. Or at least all the things I know. Which, it turns out, isn’t that many things.
But I am learning.
In the meantime, here’s what Daisy and Lilly have been up to all summer:
Daisy stole our hearts when the breeder sent us THIS picture, but then told us she might not be available. I went to bed so anxious, waiting to hear if she was spoken for! I have never been so happy to be woken up at 7 am as when I woke up to the text saying she was ours!
Daisy came home and immediately showed big sis Lilly, a collie, and her Aunt Bella, a Newfoundland that she may be small, but she is mighty!
Daisy took lots of naps.
And helped us study for the Bar Exam!
She spent a lot of time behind bars!
They wished their Aunt a happy birthday (and then Daisy peed on the floor out of excitement)!
Daisy snuggled with a really big Newfoundland.
They relaxed on the couch, even though we have a strict “no pets on the furniture” policy . . .
and Daisy relaxed in bed, before she chewed it up!
Daisy learned to sit in puppy class!
And they wished us luck on our recent Bar Exam!
What have your pups been up to this summer? Any advice for a first time puppy parent?
